Short Film of London Tango Ballet.
The Romano Viazzani Ensemble has applied for Arts Council National Lottery Grant funding for a research and development grant to develop choreography for camera which will then lead to a further application to shoot the 8-and-a-half minute film for the title track of their debut album London Tango. After four unsuccessful bids TRVE hope that it will be fifth time lucky. We are excited to have world-renowned film director Mike Figgis on board to direct it, choreographer Amir Giles (Mr Selfridge) directing the dances and Kate Flatt (choreographer of Les Miserables) as artistic consultant and to be collaborating with the famous London -based Corrientes Tango School and Tango Social Dancing Club with the guidance of Mina and Giraldo. If all goes well this time we commence choreographing in September 2022
