PRESS RELEASE
3rd January 2025
To be released on Friday 17th January 2025 across all major digital stores, A New Start,
the debut album of singer and musician, Michela Musco.
The Franco-Italian artist’s project consists of eight tracks to which some notable artists have contributed, including London accordionist Romano Viazzani, Argentine multi-instrumentalist Roman Gomez, string quintet Collegium Tiberinum and double bassist Marco Marino .
Michela Musco bursts on to the international scene with a musical project that blends her classical roots with the influences of jazz, pop and world music. A unique sound journey, a mix of styles, a harmonious dialogue between apparently distant genres whose common denominator is the voice which stands out for its undisputed versatility.
Recorded at the Strumenti&Musica Studio and published by the Ars Spoletium record label, A New Start is not just an album, but a musical experience that celebrates the art of cross-contamination and the universal power of music.
Eight songs, five of which written and expertly arranged by Romano Viazzani and three unreleased songs written in the 1950s by the American singer-songwriter Connie Rogers, the latter recovered directly from the “memory drawer” by the composer’s son, Peter Rogers, and recorded exclusively by Michela Musco.
A musical offering that is different from current recording production trends, and one full of creative ideas and enhanced by the artistry of all the performers.
