Exile - Gilad Atzmon and the Orient House Ensemble CD Cover

The BBC Jazz Award-winning album (Best album of 2003) by jazz saxophonist Gilad Atzmon and his extremely successful Orient House Ensemble. It was after Romano Viazzani was called into the recording studio in 2002 to record some of the tracks on this album that Atzmon asked him to join the band.  A fruitful relationship which lasted 5 years in which the OHE toured all over the UK and Europe and reached number 1 in the several Jazz charts. The ensemble would be equally at home playing in contemporary music festival, world music festivals and jazz festivals and on the stages of large theatres like the Barbican, Leipzig Opera House, Hamburg Opera House or in the intimate jazz clubs of the UK and Europe.
